We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.

TEEN AND YOUNG ADULT THERAPY
It isn’t easy being a young woman in today’s society. With the constant busyness of life and distractions of social media, there is much less connection and guidance. Many young girls get swept up in the fast pace of life and the extreme expectations of society.
At Colorado Women’s Center we help young women to love themselves first from within. The instinct is to look outside of one’s self for reassurance, but we want our youth to know that the answers come from an internal place. Therefore, we help them build self-esteem and give them the tools that they need to thrive in the world. We help women break through the stereotypes and face their insecurities, so they can grow beyond anything they ever imagined possible. Our mission is to help women find empowerment and become the best versions of themselves. It’s never too early or too late to begin this journey of self-discovery and growth!
Some of the issues that we help young women with are: Social media addiction, cyber bullying, parental divorces, cutting and self-harm, sexuality, and eating disorders. These are all very common issues in teens and early adulthood, and the therapists at Colorado Women’s Center are highly trained in helping our clients process through the difficulties and challenges of becoming a woman.
In addition to individual therapy, Colorado Women’s Center also offers Girl’s Empowerment Groups where young women can come together, share their hardships, find support, have fun in activity, and heal in collaboration. These groups are always guided by a trained psychotherapist and have been very successful in helping young women find confidence, strength, and connection.
We also offer support groups for parents and individual, parental therapy sessions. We understand that the relationship between parent and child is very symbiotic and if one part is going to heal, the other part often needs support as well.
Life is not easy in general, but it’s particularly challenging when there is little life experience. Learning how to navigate, make healthy decisions, and face the world’s pressures, simply should not be figured out on one’s own. We want to help!
If you are a young woman searching for guidance, or if you are a parent of a teenage girl looking for support, please reach out! You do not have to do this alone. We understand that it takes a village, and we believe that when women of all ages come together, there is nothing more powerful!
